Update: We have recently received a large number of inquiries from customers asking if we would cater for the upcoming Communions and Confirmations. As you know we are a small operation where the focus in on quality and attention to detail and after giving the matter a good deal of thought we have decided to cater for a small number of Communications and Confirmations. The numbers will be limited to enable us to provide the best possible service while keeping the special atmosphere of this great occasion.

If you are interested in having us cater for your Communion or Confirmation contact us as soon as possible (email ryelandhouse@gmail.com or phone 086-276 7656). Due to the fact that so many children have Communion or Confirmation at the same time we are severely restricted in the number of customers we can accommodate.

News: Anne's book "A Country Kitchen" received a glowing review from the Irish Independent's food writer and critic Georgina Campbell in her column on Saturday (02-01-2010) where she said "I've just discovered A Country Kitchen by Co Kilkenny cookery teacher Anne Neary. Anne has nearly 20 years experience of running her cookery school, and a love of the country and its produce make this a book with an authentic voice.". Georgina also included Anne's recipe for Luxury Cottage Pie in the column.

We have three special days lined up for the first part of the year, first up is "Catering for Communions & Confirmations" (Tuesday 24th Feb) which we recommend if you want to add that personal touch to a very special occasion.

This is followed by "Spoil your Mother for Mothers Day" (Sat 13th March), which is a special 1/2 day (5 hour) course that provides a special "thank you" that will be remembered long after everything else has been forgotten(95 euro per person).

Last but definitely not least, we have a fantastic two part day course on Saturday 8th of May. The morning is devoted to "Easy Entertaining" while the afternoon is given over to "Tapas and Wine Tasting" in the company of a wine expert who will be more than happy to provide advice and tips. This is a must for wine lovers!

Don't forget that Anne's radio production "The Cookery Slot" goes out at 11.15 am every Wednesday morning during the Sue Nunn show "On the Record".
